GOD AND ADAM God and Adam have a plan: God reaches down for Adam's hand: Adam reaches up
but his hand comes back: Adam want's to hold to his families hands: Adam reaches up to take Gods
hand: God reaches down for Adam's hand God decides Adams race with life is done God takes Adam
to his promised land.
God saw Adam was just to tired to stay: Adam is with God on this very
day! Adams pain and strife is gone without delay. The love we have for Adam will never stray.

Jesus love me this I know For the Bible Tells me so Little ones to him belong They are weak
but He is strong Yes Jesus love me Yes Jesus Loves me Yes Jesus Loves me The Bible Tells
me so.
When I stayed with Janine and Adam at the hospital Tuesday night I sang and sang this song
to him. He would lift his eyebrows and open his eye and everytime I quit singing he would squeeze
my hand to sing some more. This is Adams favorite song.

The Love Of Adam Adam your love reaches out to all of us in the most wonderful of ways. Your
smile and laugh brightened up so many dark and dreary days. We loved your Af flax duck sound that
you mimicked and made. You let out many comicical yells and hollers of quite an array. you always
got our undivided attention without hesitation or delay. Our joy of seeing you, when mom Janine wheeled
you into church was well displayed. You could make everyone around you smile and feel so gay. Your
love warms our hearts like the suns beautiful bright rays. you know each of us by our voice and touch
that you lovingly surveyed. The love we have for you Adam will stay strong and never sway. You
are our 46-year old baby; your life can never be outweighed! Though you weren't able to attend
church for a while your love never once strayed. Our love for you Adam is deep within our hearts
forevermore to stay. You made an impact on all of our lives as your sweet childlike love you conveyed.
The love you gave us Adam was a gift from God that will never ever stray. The love of Adam! That is
how your life is portrayed.

ADAM'S EVE "OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN" BY JANINE WILEY (ADAM'S MOM)
We take for granted
riches in life;our food, our homes, our clothing. Sometimes, the most unfortunate souls, are the ones
without even trying completely change our outlook on life. Open the gate and follow me down a once traveled
path, eventually unfolding the story of Adam, my greatest inspiration;my son. The story begins about
twenty-four years ago when following my graduation, I began working in an instituation for the mentally
retarded. A year later I met Adam, soon to become my adopted son. Placed in an institution at the
age of seven, when most children are enrolling in school Adam began a long journey of hardships. He
was born with Down's Syndrome to parents who were both mentally afflicted and in 1958, most capable parents
were discouraged from attempting to care for these children. "So let it unfold; Adam's incredible
journey." A year after my employment began I met Adam. So rambunctious and withdrawn, all at once,
he was probably the easiest challenge I've ever had. Now since his passing just nine months ago, my
pleateau of strength continues to grow ever steeper, striving someday to join him up above. Assimilated
as a toddler, Adam amazed everyone with his sense of humor; some-times pretending to nap, just to let
our a scream to startle them. If you glanced over, there he wold be, laughing at his accomplishments.
Also his sight had altered through the years leaving him legally blind. Adam liked to fool people in
believeing he couldn't see at all, however, just enough light would shadow a figure for him to grab;
often just to quickly release so he could "get a good laugh in." Years go by, bringing the closure
of the institution. Without hesitation I retired with Seventeen years of greatful service. I legally
adopted Adam and bought a house in the country; the home Adam never had. Coming from a large family,
now I could share with him a family he never had. Thirty-six hour days would have been perfect for
us. We'd easily drive a hundred miles a day; maybe a different playground or just a different family
outing. He really enjoyed Sundays; attending the little children Bible class. Then immediately after
services, we'd go to dinner at Granny Mary's or Aunt Jo's, or taking turns each week, frequenting at
Aunt Janet's or Aunt Joni's. On the bad snowy days we would just stay home with Aunt Suzie. Adam
had never been around so many people who truly loved him, and taught him, that innocence was packaged
in little tikes; McKenzie, who was one year old, would crawl right towards Adam, and safetly cuddle in
his lap;"he's my Adam", she would say. Sunny and Sammi would beg me to let them help feed him;intrigued
with the mechanics of a feeding tube. Nonetheless, Adams health began to spirial. In March, he was
admitted to the intensive care unit, suffering from A.R.D.S. ( Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome).
There lay a child, so very helpless, on a ventilator. I never left his side. I'd become a fixture there
for the remaining weeks, soon leading to his journey's end. When mechanical ventilation no longer
seemed to help him, I was faced with the most terrifying decision of my life. The doctor's assured me
that with themortality rate of A.R.D.S., Additionally, the fact that Adam had Down's was another strike
against him. As I sat and watched the morphine ease his pain, I squeezed his little hand. I know
God gave me the opprotunity of my lifetime; He allowed me to love a child. They are such a treasure.
While I held his frail little body in my arms, I whispered, "Go on now baby, take hold of God's hand;
He's waiting for you"...I told him that all the bad things will now be better..."Open your eyes, now
you'll see everything...Mommy loves you, Adam...Go on now...I'll be alright"... We reassure ourselves
of images of Heaven. I just know Adam's in charge of the elves at Christmas time and I can almost see
him up there tugging on one of the angels piggy-tails. I believe with all my heart that God led Adam
down that path years ago; so I could care for him. But I gladly handed him over to God; I had exhausted
every avenue that he needed...within my power... Today, Adam is my inspiration to succeed in the nursing
field. I lose sleep to study harder and study harder when I can't sleep. "What a difference we can
make in our children's lives...what a difference they make in ours".
