My most wonderful dream

My most wonderful dream

I work so hard all day long,
When the day is done,
I go to bed and close my eyes;
That's when I have fun!
I dream of all the far off lands;
I want to go and see,
I've been to the Heaven's,
I've sailed the greatest seas.

Last night I climbed in my bed;
And I said my prayers;
I thanked God for my family;
And my husband oh so dear.
Before my prayers were finished,
My eyes were closed so tight;
But it seems that I could see ahead,
A beautiful grand light;
It was shining from a palace fair,
It was the grandest sight.

The next thing I recall,
I was in a palace grand;
A prince was on his knees;
holding to my hand.
"Will you marry me." he said;
I will give you servant's grand;
Please say yes and answer me;
Say you'll take my hand;
You will have so many clothes;
The best in all the land;
You won't have to do hard work;
Or even lift a hand."
I was thinking oh how marvelous;
That surely would be grand.

I tried to hang onto the prince;
But a voice was calling me;
I could feel this awful pressure;
pushing down upon my knees,
My little boy, my little prince;
was looking down in glee!
He said, " mommy please;
get up, come and play with me.
